Brian Reischl > I'm really not sure why I like this picture, but I do. I think it's just the odd visual effect of the snow and the narrowness of the walkway that makes it look a lot longer than it is. Then again, it might be that I slogged across an entire parking lot of the knee deep snow to get the picture.
Brian Reischl > Sometimes the only sane thing to do is build a snowman on the roof. A drunken snowman. A drunken biker snowman. Eating candy. At least he has good taste in alcohol -- a bottle of St Supery Muscato and a can of Old Chub (best canned beer ever!)

I was planning to eat that carrot though. I should go back out there and get it...

Brian Reischl > Just chillin'....

OK that was horrible, I admit it.
Brian Reischl > Hello police? There's a man outside my bedroom window!
Brian Reischl > The snow in the frontyard was exactly level with the top step of the patio. That doesn't seem like a coincidence, but I can't imagine why it would've worked out that way.
Brian Reischl > There's a little almost flat roof area behind the master bedroom. I got worried that the snow out there would damage the roof, or that the melting snow would cause ice dams, so I shoveled the roof. There was actually quite a bit of snow out there, probably about 3.5'.
Brian Reischl > Wait, I think the tracks intersect! Way out there at that vanishing point!
Brian Reischl > Cross country skiing down the train tracks... sounds like the beginning of a Darwin Award doesn't it?

It actually makes sense though, the trains are barely running, but they kept the snow there perfectly flat.
